10 Banner Design Tips No One Will Tell You

Hello, everyone! We are back with yet another super useful blog of ours and we know that you are going to have an awesome time reading. As you have already read the title of our today’s blog, we want to tell you guys that we won’t take too long to formally begin talking about the 10 banner design tips (that no one will tell you) but before we do that, allow us to take a moment to thank you all for the love and support that you send our way and for also making sure that your friends, family members and favorite colleagues are also reading our blogs. And we would love to see more of that happening in the future as well.

If you guys have been designing stuff for a while now, then we are sure that you would know the advantages of creating banners and using them to promote a product, service or even an event for that matter. But for those of you who are new in the field and learning how to do your thing flawlessly, we would like you all to read this part of the blog more carefully than the rest because we are about to be sharing why banners are designed and used.

Okay so, banners are used for advertising purposes but what’s more in them that businesses have them installed around the city?! Well, banners increase a brand’s visibility – making it easier for them to spread their message across the city/country, etc. In addition, banners are also used during protests, marches, and for educational purposes so that more people can learn about something that is happening in their vicinity. We must also share that banners are a great tool to deliver the right message at the right time, especially when brands have rolled out their campaigns. If done correctly, banners improve the campaign results and get the desired actions taken efficiently.

Now, let’s look at the 10 easy-to-follow banner design tips no one will tell you! Make sure you read the blog till the end to know more to make informed decisions!

  1. Keep your message short and to the point. Always follow the ‘less is better’ rule to get things done.
  1. Banners become highly effective using bold fonts in their designs. While you are at it, don’t go for fancy fonts in fact, pick the ones that are easy to read.
  1. Like a poster design, your banner must have a (strong) headline to instantly grab attention. Once you have incorporated that, you can deliver the rest of the communication pretty easily.
  1. Always, always, always select compelling imagery – that too in high res. Know that without that, you will lose credibility and we are sure that’s something you don’t want to happen.
  1. What’s a banner design with dull/boring color palettes, right? Always make sure that you guys go for attractive color palettes but if you are unable to do that, we suggest you go for customized color palettes. By doing so, you will end up creating super unique designs for yourself as well as for your clients.
  1. When it comes to making banner designs, you must keep them simple. We know that you would like to be super creative like you work on other tasks but banners must be kept clutter-free to have more impact on the target audience.
  1. The banners you will get installed physically must be printed on high-quality materials with a good finish. Never compromise on the quality and you’ll be good to go.
  1. There’s no harm in getting inspired from other brands to create your banner designs but know that you should only take inspiration from things that work for your business. Being a copycat won’t get you anything.
  1. Proofread the contents of the banners like it’s a matter of life & death and only then you can be sure that you’re sending out the correct items for printing.
  1. Get feedback from your friends, family, and colleagues. Once you do get that, revise the design, copy, etc. to get better results.

That is all for today! If you liked reading the blog, feel free to let us know how you are planning to utilize the shared information for your upcoming tasks and projects.
